Methods of preparation
I offer two distinct, professional methods of placenta preparation so you can choose the option that best aligns with your postpartum recovery goals.
-
This is the most popular method of choice amongst my clients. This method skips the steaming process, slicing the placenta while raw to maximize potential hormone retention and bioavailability of iron while strictly adhering to USDA safety standards.
How It’s Prepared: The placenta is sliced while still “raw” and dehydrated immediately at 160°F - the USDA recommended temperature for safely dehydrating meat to eliminate harmful bacteria and active enzymes.
Why the Name? In raw food diets, “RAW” means not heating food above 118°F. Because that temperature is unsafe by USDA standards, I intentionally use the term Simply Dehydrated Method to highlight my commitment to safety.
The Benefits: Client feedback suggests this method provides an excellent balance of emotional stabilization and increased energy. It is highly recommended for those who experience long labor, postpartum hemorrhage, or those who wish to boost milk production and energy levels immediately.
Yield & Packaging: Typically yields slightly more capsules than the steamed method (though the difference is minimal). Your capsules are delivered in a glass amber bottle to preserve their beneficial properties.
-
The oldest known approach, inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Focuses on introducing warm, tonifying energy back into the body to promote balanced postpartum healing.
The Philosophy: TCM theory states that labor leaves the body with an open, cold, or “yin” energy imbalance. To restore harmony, this method introduces warm, “yang” energy during your postpartum recovery.
How it’s Prepared: The placenta is gently steamed with optional organic herbs before being dehydrated at 160°F to preserve its beneficial properties. It is the preferred choice if your placenta has been frozen prior to encapsulation.
Custom Steaming Herbs (Added only upon request):
Fresh Organic Lemon: Considered an antiseptic; thought to help distribute the placenta’s nutrients throughout the body.
Ginger & Cayenne Pepper: Warming herbs believed to contribute healing properties, facilitate energy flow, and promote good blood circulation.
Packaging: After processing, your capsules are provided in a glass amber bottle to protect their beneficial properties.
