Methods of preparation

Simply Dehydrated Method
The Simply Dehydrated Preparation Method, also known as the RAW Method, is the most popular choice among my clients. This method skips the steaming process, with the placenta being sliced while still "raw" and dehydrated immediately. The dehydration occurs at a temperature of 160°F, which is the USDA-recommended temperature for safely dehydrating meat. This temperature helps eliminate harmful bacteria and active enzymes. It is believed that this method retains essential hormones and enhances the bioavailability of iron. While this method typically yields slightly more capsules than the Steamed & Dehydrated method, the difference is minimal.
Client feedback suggests that this method provides a good balance, offering both emotional stabilization and increased energy. This method is especially beneficial for those who experience long labor, postpartum hemorrhage, or wish to boost breast milk production and energy levels immediately after birth. Your placenta capsules will be delivered in a glass amber bottle to preserve their beneficial properties.
It’s important to note that in the raw food diet, there are two methods of preparation. The first, known as the "RAW method," involves not heating food above 118°F. However, this method is not considered safe by USDA guidelines. I adhere to the USDA’s recommendation of dehydrating at 160°F for safety, which is why I’ve opted to refer to this method as the "Simply Dehydrated Method" to clearly differentiate it from the raw food diet’s temperature guidelines.

Steamed & Dehydrated Method
The Traditional Method, also known as the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Inspired Method, is the oldest known approach to placenta encapsulation and follows the principles of TCM, specifically tailored to support postpartum healing. In TCM theory, the labor and birth process leaves the mother’s body with an open, cold, or yin energy, creating an imbalance. To restore harmony and promote healing, this method introduces warm energy, or yang.
The Traditional Method involves gently steaming the placenta with optional herbs before dehydrating it at 160°F to preserve its beneficial properties. Fresh organic lemon, ginger, and cayenne pepper can be added upon request. The steaming herbs are believed to activate the placenta’s natural healing properties:
Lemon is considered an antiseptic and is thought to help distribute the placenta’s nutrients throughout the body.
Cayenne and ginger are warming herbs, believed to contribute their healing properties to the placenta. Ginger, in particular, is thought to facilitate energy flow and promote good blood circulation.
This method is known for its tonifying, healing, and warming effects. It is the preferred choice if your placenta has been frozen prior to encapsulation. After the encapsulation process, your placenta capsules will be provided in a glass amber bottle to protect their beneficial properties.

Placenta Tincture - 4 oz $35
Placenta tincture is another way to benefit from the placenta besides taking capsules. Tinctures are primarily intended for energy, stress, hormone stabilization, and transition. They are great for returning menstrual cycles, menopause, and even puberty. The birthing person's biological mother and daughter can also benefit from the tincture, as it has an almost indefinite shelf life if stored correctly. The tincture can also be given to a baby who is at least 6 months old for teething relief, to help support immune function, and during times of transition. The tincture is made by using dehydrated placenta and Tito's handmade vodka, and it is aged for 6 weeks postpartum before it is ready to be used. You will receive your tincture at the same time your capsules are delivered, along with instructions for handling until it is ready to be used. Your tincture will be prepared for you in a 4 oz glass amber dropper bottle.
